Wag, the Dog Walking App and Brady

leave a comment »

Wag: “I had such a wonderful time walking Brady! He’s a total cutie pie! I walked in and he was at the door saying a very happy hello. As we walked up and down University he stopped lots of times to pee and sniff around. What a curious boy! He also met some new friends. I hope to walk your pup again in the future! It was very nice to meet you and your good boy.

Use my invite code: LARRY9852, and get $20 in Wag! credits. It’s the dog walking app with live GPS tracking! https://app.adjust.com/42fee4

Top 10 Significant Importance of, #cs183dAppDL.

-1- dApp. Very significant.

A Distributed App is an app that’s decentralized. An example of a centralized application is Experian, Trans Union and Equifax. A dApp example would be @4thCreditBureau.

-2- Significant in that a dApp is a sequel to, #cs183b and fork from #cs183AppDL.

-3- cs183b, Lec 3 is the most significant LECTURE no one studied prior to the lecture.

PG thought it was such a difficult topic (do things that don’t scale), that he didn’t bring it up in his own LECTURE until question #10.

-4- #cs183AppDL. Like a collision Bros install, #cs183AppDL allows you to get app functionality PRIOR to your downloading an app

#5} #cs183AppDL is significant in that #cs183d (distribution) is tantamount.

-6- Distribution. Selling a couple people on the functionality of the app.

(7) Distribution using the technique of crossing the innovation chasm From The Right

-8- Distribution inside the bell curve of Blockchain founders

-9- Distribution that’s done in a mobile and impromptu manner and method.

-10- Puppies

Your dApp can be ignored. Your puppy!?! Not so much.

What They DO Teach You at Stanford Engineering About Innovation Chasms

leave a comment »

By Larry Chiang

To give you some context, I took something complicated and innovative to successfully cross the chasm. I used pizza. People care zero about a dApp. People love hot cheese pizza. People care zero about a dApp that helps them avoid hard inquires. People love pizza, puppies and ice cream

Stanford startups die in the chasm.

You +the pension fund you manage may not understand ICOs. But, this s’mores kit from @RitzCarltonHMB should alleviate and assuage #cs183ico twitter.com/wsjcs/status/8…

Solid line = s’mores kit.
— = initial coin offering

Let us look at the limo service Uber. In 2010, black town cars were available if you knew where the App Store was (limo passengers could barely dial an iPhone )

Enter, ice cream

So let us look at the innovation chasm again…

Solid line = ice cream.
“—” = uber.
