Most pre-partying involves drinking. Trust me when I say this that this blog post will get you inebriated with scandalously awesome insights that are fully legal. http://www.duck9.com/blog/credit-secrets/berkeley-optometry-students-youre-pre-entrepreneurs-now/

You see, I’m from your future.

I will be meeting you and dancing with you at Sir Francis Drake. I probably already danced with you some already at the Grand. Well, I’m here to tell you something your future self wanted to tell your you in-the-present.

You’re gonna have to learn to be a li’l entrepreneurial right now while you’re in optometry school. You’re going to have to prepare to have your own practice. You’re going to be an entrepreneur so get your notepad up, gather up a study group and do this HW before Eye Ball 2013

-1- Start a uber small, baby business.

Take 9 hours and do a lemonade stand. Many of you are super school smart. The yang to that Ying is doing a baby business.

If I were you, I’d sell slices of pizza for $5 at that Optometry conference in San Diego. Sell from 11:00-11:11PM June 27

This actually takes just one hour and not 9.

– Ten minutes to make a sign, “FIVE bucks”.
– Two minutes to make another sign, “FIVE bucks”.
– Ten minutes to order and pay for 10 large pizzas (3 veggie, 2 cheese ONLY, etc)
– Fifteen minutes to sell them at the Marriott.
– Five minutes to tip out staff at the bar BEFORE THE CONTRABAND of PIZZAS SHOW UP.

if that’s weird for you…

Here is the Net net. It’s about the accelerated networking.

An old optometrist who has been making 400k per year since ’80 will love you. Who goes to the #1 optometry college and still shags pizza?!?! That old dude goes to said San Diego conference as his vacation. He (they) are BORED! And rich! They gotta give their 30 outlet opto practice away anyway

-2- Free-Contact-Lens-Case-Via-Text-Message-From-the-858-Area-Code

Yup. Start that business up.

Remember, “What They Don’t Teach You at Berkeley Optometry but That They DID Teach You at Stanford Engineering (about entrepreneurship) is that it is about DISTRIBUTION.

How many sales classes have you been in.

Ok, please see this video that shifts you to the right side of the future-optometrists-are-all-entrepreneurs Bell Curve

-3- Text me! 650-283-8008. Part of being entrepreneurial is contact and networking. So text me while you’re reading this

-4- Execute a Placeholder Webpage for When You’re a Doctor

The transition from student to business person is under stressed and not studied enough. Plus, the fact that you’ve read this post this far makes you a stand-out opto student on the right side of the bell curve.

Here is the download/ brain dump–

– Using social media to EUTWMPPM is like having two 20-20 eyeballs in a land of the myopically blind 24 year old Shih Tzus.

That old guy optometrist can’t read. Won’t read. Can understand Larry Chiang speak. HINT: you read, re-read and google my acronyms like a CS major reading another persons computer code.

– EUTWMPPM is meant to accelerate you
Google it

– Spending 10 hours doing an LCMCC at SD Marriott is smart
Google it.

– Doing a LTMVBP is smart
Google it.

-5- Ill see you at Eye Ball April 13. I’ll be handing out slices at the Sir Frances Drake. Cost = a Shih Tzu hug

It’s a one-way hug where you pet me and I wags

Since the class is mostly WOMEN, watch this video on female-to-female mentorship EMBED
